Alexxis Lemire, 23, stars in Netflix hit, The Half Of It, a ‘gen-z take’ on the 19th century play Cyrano de Bergerac, featuring a queer love triangle and exploring issues of racism and immigration in the US.
Released in early May and directed by Alice Wu, the film won the Founders Award for Best Narrative Feature at the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival, and was lauded by critics for its ‘incredible depth and consideration’. Having previously appeared in TV films The Art of Murder and Truth or Dare, Lemire won praise for her performance and on-screen chemistry with The Half Of It’s other lead actors, Leah Lewis and Daniel Diemer. She’ll next be seen in the sci-fi thriller Cerebrum, starring opposite James Russo and Christian James.
